How wonderful!  You researched and found a photographer whose style matched yours.  The location has been chosen.  You took the time to find the perfect outfits.  You fought to clear everyones’ schedule.  Everyone was able to avoid the cold or flu that was going around at the time.  The day arrived and your photographer created wonderful portraits for you.  Exciting!!  The portraits came in, your gallery was put online.  They are amazing!  You love every one of them.  They will be treasured forever!  You make your choices and get the downloads.  … … …

How long ago was that?  A few months, 9 months, a year.  Are those priceless portraits hanging out in your phone?  Or were you being safe and transferred them to a flash drive?  Where is the drive, anyway?

 

Can you relate to all that?  I talk to so many people that can.  Hi, I am Anita.  I have been a professional photographer all my adult life.  I started my business in a time that albums and wall art were the only way to see your priceless images.  And believe it or not, that is still true.  I loved the coming of the digital age.  It gave photographers so much freedom.  Instead of taking 20 portraits or 100 photographs at a wedding, we could capture everything.  Every moment!  We went wild.  Along the way, as creatives, we forgot that not everyone was trained to know what would look best on the wall or how many of those 1500 wedding photos should go into the album to tell the story.  I somehow sensed that I could still help my clients.  I worked with each one to design a custom album and choose the perfect art for each room where it would be displayed.  Of the nearly 800 weddings I photographed, I only let one go as digital, without an album.  And a few months later the bride asked for another flash drive, hers was lost.  

 

A long story to get to where you are now.  I hope you are understanding how important it is for us to create heirloom quality albums and wall art.  That is the only way your memories are forever.  My  first years of digital photography, I saved everything just like I was told.  In only a few years the technology and programs that it took to open those files did not exist anymore.  Think 8 track tapes and cassette tapes for music.  It’s worse.  You can still buy old machines to listen to that old media.  My lab couldn’t even open the old files from my older digital sessions.  Today, most computers don’t have a CD slot.  And the USB flash drive is giving way to the smaller USB C.  The ‘cloud’ is amazing for storing everything, or is it?  I know this part is kinda technical.  

 

This is where I will help you.  I will use your files that your wonderful photographer gave you permission to print however you like, and create beautiful, stunning photography that will be cherished for years to come.  There are so many phenomenal photographers that just don’t want to spend the hours it takes to create the finished product.  I have been working with professional labs for years.  I have a relationship with them and know what kind of work they do.  From the moment you open your package to the happy smiles, and maybe tears, as you show off your images, you will know you finally did the right thing.  You will not have the nagging thought “I need to do something with those”.
